About ADR
Who We Are. Why We
Exist.
Our Story
Born in Ghana. Built for the world.
African Dance Rhythms was founded in Accra with a conviction that Ghanaian culture — its dance, its music, its stories, its values — belongs not only to those born into it, but to anyone willing to encounter it with an open mind and a willing body.
We began as a performing arts company and grew into something broader: a cultural organisation that teaches, performs, immerses, educates and connects. Our work spans schools, corporations, international visitors, diaspora communities and cultural institutions.
In everything we do, we hold two commitments in tension: honouring the depth and integrity of Ghanaian cultural tradition, and making it genuinely accessible to people wherever they come from.

"African culture is not something to simply watch. It is something to experience, learn, share and carry forward."
— ADR Mission
